Fireworks

My dad dislikes this time of year,
When fireworks go off,
It’s not that they fill him with fear,
More that they make him cough.

God Gave the Brave a Voice

Poem on photo of white clouds.

God gave the brave a voice,
So we could speak out for the rest:
For ones with little choice,
And all who do their best.

Start Right Here

Poem on fireworks background.

Start right here,
Right now.
Do it with fear,
Somehow.
Have faith in yourself,
In your dreams.
It’s much easier than it seems.
Now take your strength from within –
And begin.
